Scope Optics was founded in the early 1960s by the late Mr. Ahmed Abdel Azim, a true pioneer of the optics profession in Egypt. What began as a small operation has grown into the region’s leading lens manufacturing facility.
Today, under the leadership of Mr. Mohamed Ahmed Abdel Azim, Scope continues to push the boundaries of optical innovation — bringing cutting-edge German engineering and Japanese materials science to the heart of Cairo.
We are proud to be the first factory in Egypt and the Middle East to manufacture progressive free-form lenses.

1960s
Founded by Mr. Ahmed Abdel Azim. Introduced anti-reflection coating technology.
2006
First in Egypt & Middle East to manufacture free-form progressive lenses.
2013
Launched Digital Ray Path — first personalized lens design in Egypt.
2020
Upgraded production with Schneider machines.
2021
Introduced MetaVision — revolutionary eye-tracking lens technology.
2022
Opened Egypt’s first ISO 21987 certified fitting lab.
